I think political polls regarding candidacy should be outlawed. What do you think?
A really large problem with this country is a huge number of voters look to the polls to see who is most favored by other people and they vote for the most popular person.
I say lets get rid of that. Lets make those political polls illegal so people would have to vote without knowing how popular a candidate is in this or another region.
This is pure academic question: What do you think?
folks purely academic questions don’t need to be possible. If it was possible would you support it?

In the US, cannot be done.
Polls are part of the freedom of expression guaranteed by the Constitution. In fact, polls are just questions and statistics regarding the answers — they aren’t even statements of fact.
The problem is, too many people don’t want to think for themselves, and are simply happy to "follow the pack". Like lemmings. And if the pack wasn’t defined by popularity polls, it would be defined by political, social and religious leaders.
As long as people are content to have someone else do their thinking for them, we’ll continue to have politics by mob rule.

Although I know polls don’t mean diddly squat, I would like to see that but it’ll never happen. It is unfortunate that too many people let polls influence their vote. What has happened to researching the candidates to see where they stand on the issues?
