Are political polls really that accurate?
If so, does McCain still have a chance in this election or is it too far out of reach at this stage?
Second part of my question. Since the polls have Obama up by as many as 6 points is that really that big of challenge to overcome?

No, these polls are takin by several different groups each with its own agenda, not to mention they change up and down everyday. I do not think Americans are changing their minds everyday on who they’re going to vote for. Most have their minds made up.

Polls are just a way feel out the public, it has nothing to do with the outcome. McCain will win. If your an American you are suppose to vote for an American not a muslim.

If only a certain demographic is polled, i don’t see how it can possibly be accurate. McCain still has a chance, the people that were voting for McCain or Obama 2 months ago will still vote for them. I think the election will be determined based on which party alienates the most of their own party. (who will just not bother voting) All the BS on the news is just for ratings in my opinion.

An accurate poll is nearly impossible to find. Questions are intentionally worded in such a way as to guarantee an expected result. Political polls are the worst in this regard.

No. However, some people, mostly the democrats, really "depend heavily" on them.

Polls are only accurate when my candidate is leading.
