"As the grandson of an Irish immigrant, I believe in the ideals that are enshrined on the Statue of Liberty in New York City Harbor, but a nation without borders is not a nation." - Mike Pence
 Guest Encounters

From a visitor named Mike:

Well I became a news junkie when I started college, mostly after seeing how my professors were trying to brainwash the student population with false information to promote their liberal values.

So I was watching CNN in early 2003 on the show "Crossfire", and They were discussing the impending war in Iraq, and the hosts were Tucker Carlson (wimpy bow-tie wearing wuss), and Paul Begala (worse than Howard Dean). Well Paul Begala and his guest (some Democratic political analyst) were basically bashing the Bush administration for even thinking about a war with Iraq. Well, Tucker Carlson being the wimp he was, basically was not defending the conservative position. The debate was basically a shout fest, but Mike Pence was the conservative guest. He, in his unbelievably calm manner, explained why the war is necessary for freedom. He shut both the libs up, without raising his voice and using intelligence and common sense to debate his position. I was impressed and looked this guy up, and read about his biography.

Well after the 2004 election when everbody was talking about who would be the 2008 republican nominee for president, I knew who I wanted my candidate to be, and that was Mike Pence.

So that's how I got to know who he was. sorry for all the writing.
